Designed and painted in the PA Wilds

The PA Wilds is a rural region of Pennsylvania made up of 2.1 million acres of public land covering a 12 1/2 county area. Only 4% of the State's population lives within the boundaries of this region which boasts 2 million acres of State Game Lands, 29 State Parks and 16,000 miles of waterways. Julie Mader is a juried PA Wilds Maker and the work made at her in-home studio is sold online at the PA Wilds Marketplace.

Meet the artist

I love sharing the joy and discoveries that I make while creating art; for me it is simply too hard to not spread art-joy to others.
Daily walks with our dachshunds Monty and Spark Plug tends to include the ground-level discoveries of spiderwebs, plants budding out and neighborhood cats & chipmunks.
I geek out over the patterns of bark, cool looking rocks, the perfect symmetry of flowers and yarn shops.
